Business & Enviroment Award. Tocumwal Golf Club Nominated for Water ReUse Project. Tocumwal Golf Club CEO Greg Roberts said he was excited about the project."Our Water ReUse Project is a positive step forward in securing an important water source for the future for the Tocumwal Golf Club. Thanks to the Federal Government Assistance through Community Water Grants and the Berrigan Shire Council who have made this Project possible."

"The project has several sub components as it combines the drainage of some 42 hectares of residential and future residential land with the reuse of both stormwater and treated sewage effluent."

"Thanks to the Federal Government for their assistance through community water grants and in conjunction with the Berrigan Shire Council, we have been able to develop an effective water recycling program that will ensure high quality disinfected recycled water is used on our fairways, gardens and greens to maximise the use of the course."

''Tocumwal Development Committee Chairperson Bob Burns said the project enhances the already good reputation of the Golf Club. "We already know that the Toc. Golf Club Course is highly regarded and now with a better managed water supply, it certainly stands out from the rest."The Tocumwal Golf Club currently accesses water from both bore supplies and the Murray River and any reuse generated will have a corresponding reduction in the use of water from both of these already stressed sources."

The total cost of the project is around $1 million with $150,000 being contributed directly by the Golf Club.
